Role Description
The Project Architect is a full-time, on-site role located in Lagos State, Nigeria. The individual will lead architectural projects from concept through completion, including developing design proposals, preparing detailed drawings and specifications, and coordinating with engineers, interior designers, and other consultants. Daily responsibilities include managing submittals, overseeing BIM models, ensuring design compliance with local regulations and applicable standards, and supporting sustainable design initiatives. The Project Architect will participate in client meetings, manage project documentation, monitor construction progress, and collaborate with site teams to resolve design and coordination issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Architecture skills, including concept development, space planning, technical detailing, and coordination of multidisciplinary design inputs.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills, such as scheduling, budgeting, resource coordination, and documentation control across multiple project phases.
- Candidates should possess Submittals management skills, including preparation, review, and tracking of drawings, specifications, RFIs, and approvals.
- Candidates should possess Building Information Modeling (BIM) skills, with proficiency in BIM tools (e.g., Revit) for modeling, documentation, and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) or comparable sustainable design frameworks, with an ability to integrate energy-efficient and environmentally responsible solutions.
- Candidate should be willing to travel out-of-state for projects as need be.
- Relevant qualifications include a professional degree in Architecture, registration or eligibility for registration as an architect, and proven experience delivering architectural projects.
- Additional beneficial skills include proficiency with CAD software, strong visual communication and presentation abilities, familiarity with local building codes and standards, and effective collaboration with construction and consultant teams.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Pay: ₦300,000.00 – ₦500,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person (Lagos)
