We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Vice President, Engineering to lead and scale our engineering organization from our Nigeria office. In this executive role, you will be responsible for setting the technical direction of the company, driving engineering excellence, and ensuring the successful delivery of innovative products and platforms. You will partner closely with the CEO, CTO, and other senior leaders to align engineering strategy with overall business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the overall engineering strategy, vision, and roadmap in alignment with company goals
- Lead, mentor, and scale a world-class engineering organization across multiple teams and product lines
- Collaborate with the executive leadership team to drive product innovation, market expansion, and revenue growth
- Establish and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, architecture guidelines, and quality assurance processes
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable, reliable, and secure software systems
- Manage the engineering budget, including headcount planning, tooling investments, and infrastructure costs
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making
- Recruit, retain, and develop top engineering talent while fostering diversity and inclusion within the team
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage and operational efficiency
- Serve as a key technical advisor to the CEO and board of directors, providing regular updates on engineering performance, risks, and opportunities
- Ensure all engineering operations comply with relevant regulatory requirements, security standards, and industry best practices
Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 7 years in senior engineering leadership roles
- Demonstrated experience managing large, distributed engineering teams of 50+ engineers
- Deep understanding of modern software development methodologies, cloud architectures, and DevOps practices
- Proven ability to develop and execute technology roadmaps aligned with business strategy
- Strong experience with budgeting, resource planning, and vendor management at the executive level
- Excellent track record of delivering complex, large-scale software products on time and within budget
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with the ability to navigate ambiguity
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, data governance, and regulatory compliance
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and board members
Pay: ₦6,000,000.00 – ₦10,000,000.00 per month
